PURPOSE:
Pursuant to 13A of the Organizational Act, where “The chief executive shall nominate a person by sending a written notice to the commission,” CEO Thurmond nominates Ms. Connie Stokes for appointment to the DeKalb County Hospital Authority. This is for a four (4) year term which will expire September 30, 2025.
NEED/IMPACT:
The mission of the DeKalb County Hospital Authority is to advise the Emory Decatur Hospital. Ms. Stokes was nominated by the DeKalb County Hospital Authority Board to fill a vacant seat. This action would appoint Ms. Stokes to a four (4) year term from October 1, 2021 that will expire on September 30, 2025. Pursuant to 13A of the Organizational Act, the Chief Executive Officer nominates Ms. Connie Stokes to the DeKalb County Hospital Authority.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
