PURPOSE:
Two designated emergency shelter locations (Mason Mill Park and Exchange Park) were identified as lacking emergency power capabilities. Therefore, outfitting these locations with generators became imperative to prepare for possible power outages, in the face of the impending storm warnings across the County. This request is to ratify the emergency expenditure for the purchase and installation of two (2) standby generators, needed to mitigate the threat to the welfare of shelter residents, in the event of a power outage.
