PURPOSE:
Pursuant to 13A of the Organization Act where “The chief executive shall nominate a person by sending a written notice to the commission, “ CEO Michael Thurmond is nominating Charlene Fang for reappointment to the DeKalb County Board of Tax Assessors. This is a six (6) year term which would begin January 1, 2022 and expire December 31, 2027.
NEED/IMPACT:
Ms. Fang has served the DeKalb County Board of Assessors admirably and as stipulated in O.C.G.A. 48-5-292 (a) can “be reappointed to succeed herself as a member of the board” which she desires. Ms. Fang has served on the Board of Tax Assessors since 2006.
