PURPOSE:
To reserve $136,803.19 from the District 4 SPLOST Category 1M - Commissioner District Transportation Projects Funds for improvements on Market Street in unincorporated DeKalb County as part of a City of Clarkston project.
NEED/IMPACT:
The City of Clarkston’s proposed improvements to Market Street include constructing sidewalk, adding “easabouts” to calm traffic, and milling and resurfacing the roadway. Some of this proposed work extends into unincorporated DeKalb County. The City of Clarkston has bid the project and will be contributing $895,000 for work within the city limits. An intergovernmental agreement will be signed with the City of Clarkston establishing the conditions for the county’s payment for work in unincorporated DeKalb County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
136,803.19 from line item 1M District 4 Reserve SPLOST funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To reserve $136,803.19 from the District 4 Category 1M - Commission District Transportation Projects Fund for improvements on Market Street in unincorporated DeKalb County as part of a City of Clarkston project; and to approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
