PURPOSE:
To appropriate District 2 reserve funding to Perkins&Will for planning services as outlined in the attached scope of work.
NEED/IMPACT:
With the recent sale of North DeKalb Mall to Edens, a master plan needs to be developed that incorporates the surrounding community. To help the county and the community engage in the process for developing a master plan, Perkins&Will will act as planning support partner. This support will include community engagement, visioning, and developing master plan drawings that incorporate this communal vision.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to Grant Fund (09130.611250.272.0000.0000 - $20,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental -Unincorporated Fund- Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000)- $20,000

Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $20,000 and the attached scope of work to engage Perkins&Will and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
