PURPOSE:

To consider entering into a project agreement with the PATH Foundation for $186,462.00 for a trail connectivity study for the Sagamore Hills, Leafmore and Briarcliff Heights neighborhoods; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.

NEED/IMPACT:

On December 8, 2020 the Board of Commissioners committed $350,000 of District 6 Category 1M SPLOST funds for the development of a trail connectivity concept plan and design for the Sagamore Hills and Leafmore area. On December 15, 2020 the Board of Commissioners approved entering into a master agreement with the PATH Foundation for the planning, designing, and construction management of greenway trails in DeKalb County. The master agreement requires Board of Commissioners approval for all subsequent project agreements. This project agreement will facilitate the development of a trail connectivity study for neighborhoods located between South Fork Peachtree Creek Trail and the proposed North Fork Peachtree Creek Greenway.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Previously committed Category 1M SPLOST funds in the amount of $186,462.00 will be used to cover the cost of this project agreement.
