PURPOSE:
To adopt an extension of the lease with the Global Task Force for Public Health, Inc. for use of office space in the building located at 330 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030 for an additional three months to facilitate the transition to the facility located on Sam’s Street.
NEED/IMPACT:
This action appropriates an additional $200,000.00 in funding to the lease with the Global Task Force for Public Health, Inc. to pay for an additional two months of use of office space in the building located at 330 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030 to facilitate the transition to the facility located on Sam’s Street.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Lease requires the County to pay a base rate per square foot of office space, but the amount of space used throughout the two-month period is yet to be determined and may change such that the amount paid in the first month differs from the amount paid in the second month. Therefore, this action allows up to $200,000.00 additional funding to the lease with the Global Task Force for Public Health, Inc. to pay for expenses for an additional two months of use of office space in the building located at 330 Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030 to facilitate the transition to the facility located on Sams Street.

Recommended Action
To authorize the extension of the County’s Lease with the Global Task Force for Public Health, Inc. and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
