PURPOSE:
Appropriate $175,000 from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1 to St. Vincent de Paul to provide housing assistance through the Motel-to-Home Program and water bill assistance.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding will assist homeless DeKalb County families who are living in extended stay motels to find permanent, stable housing, as well assisting District 1 residents with unusually high water bills.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 1 American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funding and be appropriated to St. Vincent de Paul.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $175,000 from American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1 to the St. Vincent de Paul and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute Memorandum of Agreements and all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney, for the purpose of providing housing and water bill assistance.
