PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on March 27, 2018 for an amount not to exceed $2,348,900.00 to Casey Tree Expert Inc. and Georgia Power Company. On April 23, 2019, the BOC approved the first renewal option for a total amount not to exceed $1,800,000.00. On June 9, 2020, the BOC approved the second renewal option for a total amount not to exceed $1,800,000.00. On May 11, 2021, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to increase the contracts by a total amount not to exceed $900,000.00 and to extend the contract term to December 31, 2021. This contract consists of providing vegetation clearing, tree stump, and debris removal along the County's sanitary sewer system easements as part of the Consent Decree's Maintenance Management System (MMS). This request is to add funding and extend the contract term to March 31, 2022 for the contract with Casey Tree Expert, Inc. to allow continuity in services for easement clearing until the competitive bid process is completed. Bids are currently in under evaluation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
Casey Tree Experts, Inc., 4135 Arcadia Industrial Circle, Lilburn, GA 30047
Amount Not To Exceed: $225,000.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
