PURPOSE:
2021-2875, to appropriate $200,000 from America Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to the account Reserved for District 6 for marketing and activities that encourages citizens who might not otherwise get the vaccine, to do so; and, to assist in the mitigation of the public health crisis created by the COVID-19 Pandemic was approved in July by the Board of Commission.
The contract for Steed Society has been completed by the County Law Department and is ready for Board approval. District 6 will be appropriating $100,000 of the previously approved amount of $200,000 ARP funds from POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.06.602479 and District 2 will be appropriating $100,000 ARP funds from POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.02.602479.
NEED/IMPACT:
This item will support efforts to encourage citizens who might not otherwise get the vaccine, to do so.
