PURPOSE:
To consider reserving $800,000.00 from District 3 Category 1M - Commissioner District Transportation Projects Funds for traffic calming improvements to Cedar Grove Road; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to facilitate this work.
NEED/IMPACT:
There are community concerns regarding the speed of traffic on Cedar Grove Road. Potential traffic calming measures include mini-roundabouts and “easabouts” similar to those used on Norman Road in the City of Clarkston.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$800,000.00 from line item 1M SPLOST funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To reserve $800,000.00 from the District 3 Category 1M - Commission District Transportation Projects Fund for traffic calming improvements on Cedar Grove Road; and To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to facilitate this work.
