PURPOSE:
•To consider approving the FY 2022 Law Enforcement Training (LET) grant award from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Coordinating Council; and
•To consider accepting $25,000.00 from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriating this amount to the Grant Fund for spending in compliance with the grantor’s requirements; and
•To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
This award was made under the State of Georgia Law Enforcement Training Program grant. The funding will be used to provide in-person de-escalation training to 661 DeKalb County police officers.
