PURPOSE:
To amend Chapter 14 to revise the County’s Environmental Control Ordinance to match or exceed the EPD’s (Georgia Environmental Protection Department) updated 2019 Model Ordinance for Post-Construction Stormwater Management for New Development and Redevelopment.
NEED/IMPACT:
This revision is required for compliance with DeKalb County’s MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) Permit - required by the EPD.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To adopt the attached ordinance and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents to revise the County’s Chapter 14 Post-Construction Stormwater Management Ordinance components to match or exceed the updated 2019 EPD Model Post-construction Stormwater Management Model Ordinance for the County to comply with the DeKalb County MS4 Permit.
