PURPOSE:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department seeks Board of Commissioner approval to purchase 60 golf carts for use at Mystery Valley from Cornerstone Golf Partners, in the amount of $240,000.
NEED/IMPACT:
In 2022, the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs, has taken over the golf course management of Mystery Valley Golf Course from the incumbent management company, Cornerstone Golf Partners. This includes supplying golf carts to patrons to utilize at the golf course. Due to supply issues, there are no carts available for lease until at least 2023. To avoid loss of revenue to RPCA and to provide continued service to golf course patrons, RPCA is seeking to purchase the existing 60 golf carts from Cornerstone Golf Partners which are currently in use at Mystery Valley. This purchase will not only supply the much-needed golf carts but will also provide a savings in the amount of $96,000 since these carts will be owned by DeKalb County RPCA.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To purchase 60 carts from Cornerstone Golf Partners in the amount of $240,000 from RPCA’s Operating Account 6100 designated fund 271.

Recommended Action
To approve the purchase of 60 golf carts in the amount of $240,000 from Cornerstone Golf Partners and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
