PURPOSE:

Consists of multiple asphalt projects throughout DeKalb County for continuance of essential County operations while the services were being competitively bid. This material is used to maintain safe roadways for County citizens. If the roads are not maintained, it could become hazardous to citizens. On December 14, 2021, the BOC approved an award for these services and new contractors are in place to handle these operations going forward.
This request is to ratify the emergency expenditures (POs 1278278 and 1278274) for these services while there was no contract in place.
