PURPOSE:
Amend Sections 13.5-2 and 13.5-8 of the Code of DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:
Update the Historic Preservation ordinance (Chapter 13.5) to ensure the subdivision, aggregation or alteration of the boundaries of lots in historic districts are consistent with the districts’ character.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There will be no fiscal impact to the county.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
The Historic Preservation Commission voted unanimously during their January 18, 2022, meeting to recommend the adoption of the amendment. Staff also recommends the adoption of the ordinance and the authorization of the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents to amend Sections 13.5-2 and 13.5-8 of the Code of DeKalb County.
