PURPOSE:
The Clerk to Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Commissioners would like the minutes of the Commission to reflect the appointment of Graham “Ashton” Walker to District 4 Community Council made by Commissioner Ted Terry.
Ashton Walker will be Commissioner Terry’s District 4 Community Council Appointment. This appointment had not been filled when the Commissioner began office in 2021. Ashton Walker has lived in East Decatur and Clarkston, on and off, for close to 20 years. He is interested in serving on the Community Council to better understand the nuances around communities and how to balance affordability, growth, and environmental restraints for both longtime and new residents. He has indicated his intent to serve in this capacity and the Commissioner is confident that he will serve as a wonderful advocate and member.
NEED/IMPACT:
Record the appointment of Graham Ashton Walker as the District 4 Community Council, into the minutes of the Board of Commissioners. This appointment had not been filled when the Commissioner began office in 2021.

Recommended Action
Direct the Clerk to record the appointment of Graham Ashton Walker to the District 24Community Council, appointed by District 6 Commissioner Ted Terry, to fulfill the term ending on December 31, 2024.
