attack by the Russian Leadership, urging an immediate and peaceful resolve, and until then, supporting
President Biden's Administration in sanctions and export controls.

PURPOSE:
The Governing Authority of DeKalb County, Georgia prides itself as a diverse county that welcomes people
from all backgrounds and nationalities, including Ukrainian Americans. Millions of lives have been torn apart,
displaced, or murdered while protecting their country from this unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian
military forces. This Resolution confirms our support of solidarity to condemn Russia's invasion and brutal
attack and urge an immediate and peaceful resolve as quickly as possible. Until then we strongly endorse the
swift and severe economic sanctions and stringent export controls that President Biden's administration has
imposed on Russia.
NEED/IMPACT:
The attached Resolution condemns the atrocities being committed by Vladimir Putin and the Russian leadership and supports all efforts that urge Russia to immediately cease its violent, illegal, and immoral assault upon Ukraine, end the needless bloodshed, and return to diplomacy and the rules-based international order that has ensured peace and prosperity for so many.
