PURPOSE:

The DeKalb County Community Development Department offers deferred payment, forgivable loans to assist senior and disabled homeowners with critical repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and roofing. This funding allocation will allow eligible applicants to apply for the funding.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

This funding is being provided to aid District 5 Seniors who are in need of critical home repairs. Eligible seniors can apply to receive assistance through the DeKalb County Community Development Department.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Transfer $150,000 from Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) to Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to CIP Fund for use by DeKalb County Community Development Department.

Recommend that funds in the amount of $150,000 for the DeKalb County Special Purpose Home Repair Program.
