PURPOSE:

To authorize the sale of a permanent easement over 1.82 acres of County owned property located at 3181 Rainbow Drive to GA Power with such easement to be utilized by GA Power to install a standard transmission line as part of the Austin Drive - Morrow 115 KV (OHGW) Phase 3 Project (GA Power LIMS project 2019010053 - parcel 055). The funding received in the amount of $48,400 will go to RPCA Capital Fund Organization 86101 to be used for capital improvements.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

GA Power is currently acquiring easement access needed for a proposed transmission line (GA Power LIMS project 2019010053 - parcel 055).  As part of that project GA Power is seeking acquisition of an easement over 1.82 acres of County owned property at 3181 Rainbow Drive (parcel 15 122 02 007).

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

RPCA will receive $48,400 for the acquired easement which will go to RPCA’s Capital Fund 86101 for capital improvements.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Authorize the sale of an easement over 1.82 acres of property located at 3181 Rainbow Drive to GA Power and authorize the execution of all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney.
