PURPOSE:

This contract consists of the provision of repair services for the boardwalk at Constitution Lakes Park which provides access to pedestrians around the lake and has twisted off of the helical piers. The structural integrity of the boardwalk has been undermined and a section of the boardwalk has been closed off until repairs can be made.  Further delays in repairs could result in the collapse of this section of the boardwalk. This request is to, but not limited to, deconstruct the existing boardwalk, build back the boardwalk utilizing existing helical piers to 14” higher than original; replace all rotten and damaged materials with new materials; replace existing handrail; and install ramps at two (2) entrances. These services are necessary to re-open the boardwalk and eliminate safety risks to the public.
