PURPOSE:
To consider approval of a donation of Firefighting Gear to the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund with an estimated value to the charitable organization not to exceed $5,000.00.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Fire Rescue Department has firefighting gear that is no longer utilized, and that is either scheduled for destruction or transfer to the landfill. Donating this firefighting gear to the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund allows that non-profit organization to refurbish and provide the gear to smaller rural and volunteer departments having limited funding sources. There is no cost to the County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
