PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on April 27, 2021, for an amount not to exceed $250,000.00. This contract consists of provision and management of plan review, inspection and technical support services for zoning, land development, building and fire permits. Due to the highly technical nature of many of the positions in this department, vacancies are not easily filled. When vacancies occur, P&S wants to be able to fill the gaps between hiring permanent staff by hiring contractual workers who can perform planning, plan reviews, engineering reviews, building inspections, etc. with minimal intense training required so P&S can continue to respond to customers expeditiously. This request is to add additional funding, to meet customer response goals.

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:
NOVA Engineering & Environmental, LLC, 3900 Kennesaw 75 Parkway, Suite 100, Kennesaw, GA 30144
Amount Not to Exceed: $500,000.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents
