PURPOSE:

To Authorize the acceptance of GDOT Federal and State Funding Assistance Associated with the Runway
16-34 Safety Area Improvements and Rehabilitation at DeKalb Peachtree Airport; and

To approve the execution of the attached resolution.

NEED/IMPACT:

Authorization is needed to accept a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) allocation of federal and state funding assistance that consists of Runway 16-34 Runway Safety Area Improvements and Rehabilitation on the Airport.  The federal and state funding assistance provides for improvements to sustain continued safety on the Airport.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The federal funding assistance includes FAA funding in an allocation of $2,120,981.00.  The state funding assistance includes state funding in an allocation of $3,983,044.50 for a total of $6,104,025.50.  There is a matching cost to the County in the amount of $1,406,236.50.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents....
