PURPOSE:
To consider reserving $750,000 of SPLOST funds from line item 1C - Pedestrian Improvements for acquisition of right-of-way and easements for proposed sidewalk on Glenwood Road from Columbia Drive to Covington Highway.
NEED/IMPACT:
Most of Glenwood Road from Columbia Drive to Covington Highway has no sidewalk or sidewalk on only on side of the road. The proposed improvements call for continuous sidewalk on both sides of the road. Additional right-of-way and easements will be needed to construct the sidewalks. Design work for this project has been funded using previously appropriated HOST and SPLOST funds.
FISCAL IMPACT:
SPLOST funds will be reserved in the amount of $750,000 for right-of-way acquisition.
