PURPOSE:
To consider accepting -$148,988.00 for the DeKalb County Adult Felony Drug Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriating the amount to a new Grant Fund,
NEED/IMPACT:
The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council has awarded -$148,988.00 to the DeKalb County Adult Felony Drug Court. Funding will be used toward annual conference, psychiatric & nursing services, counseling & peer support services, medication, drug testing & monitoring supplies, for program participants. The Veterans Treatment Court is now a subsidy of our long withstanding Drug Court. Our Drug Court now has a Veterans Track per the state recommendation and allows us to combine resources as well continue offering evidence-based clinical services to our Veterans. The grant period is from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The required cash match ($20,317.00) will be met through the Superior Court Operating budget.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for all services provided by Criminal Justice Coordinating Council Grant in the amount of $148,988.00. Funding must be spent by June 30, 2023, end of State FY 2023.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents. To accept -$148,988.00 for DeKalb County Adult Felony Drug Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriate the amount to a new Grant Fund
