PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment of up to $150,000 to Georgia Power for relocation of overhead power lines for construction of sidewalk on McAfee Road from Candler Road to East Lakeside Drive;
To consider reserving $150,000 of SPLOST funds from line item 1C - Pedestrian Improvements for reimbursing Georgia Power for overhead power line relocation costs; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this work.
NEED/IMPACT:
Georgia Power will need to relocate distribution lines to allow for construction of sidewalk on the south side of McAfee Road from Candler Road to East Lakeside Drive (Barker Bryant Park).
FISCAL IMPACT:
SPLOST funds in the amount of $150,000 will be needed.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To authorize the payment of up to $150,000 to Georgia Power for relocation of overhead power lines for construction of sidewalk on McAfee Road from Candler Road to East Lakeside Drive;
