PURPOSE:
To Appropriate $25,000 from the District 7 Reserve for Appropriation to the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce to support a DeKalb Business and Community event.
NEED/IMPACT:
The community event is to expand opportunities for DeKalb businesses to connect and provide support to those located in economically distressed areas of the County. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many small businesses in DeKalb County experienced challenges that severely tested their resilience. The community event will recognize businesses and community leaders in their support of a strong business ecosystem in DeKalb County and have demonstrated their work in building capacity to reverse the decline in business closings and neighborhood conditions.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this event is an allocation of $25,000 from the District 7 Reserve For Appropriation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
