PURPOSE:
To provide a three-year contract with Leadership DeKalb, which will provide support from the county for Leadership DeKalb’s operations.
NEED/IMPACT:
In an effort to obtain leadership and management training services that the county does not otherwise provide, the county would like to provide financial support to the operations of Leadership DeKalb which will in turn allow the county and its employees to take advantage of Leadership DeKalb’s training programs. This will provide a substantial benefit to the county.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Under the terms of the contract, the county will pay Leadership DeKalb $150,000 over three years and Leadership DeKalb will provide to the county the following benefits:
• One scholarship to cover the cost of tuition for the training program for a county employee
• A 5% discount for any other county employees who enroll in the training program
• Leadership DeKalb will recognize the county’s contribution in tis promotional materials
