PURPOSE:
To provide funding from District 2 ARP POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.02.602479 in the amount of $47,100.00 to We Love Buford Highway, Inc. for back-to-school supplies, vaccinations, and other health services, in addition to food distributions for families of Buford Highway who have been severely impacted by COVID-19.
NEED/IMPACT:
We Love Buford Highway, Inc has been committed to feeding close to 100,000 residents of DeKalb County over the last two years through culturally centric, community focused, mobile events. In an attempt to recover from the pandemic and address economic hardships and food insecurity, the agency will provide food and supplies as well as vaccinations and health services to local immigrant communities along Buford Highway.

Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $47,100 to We Love Buford Highway, Inc. and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to support this appropriation.
