PURPOSE:
To authorize an addition to the vehicle fleet utilizing seized funds to purchase a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, VIN#1C4RJFDJ5FC763388.
NEED/IMPACT:
The DeKalb County Police Department received notification of forfeiture for seized property by the U. S. Marshals Service on the aforementioned vehicle. This vehicle was seized as property obtained through a narcotics investigation. This vehicle will be used for law enforcement purposes.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost of the vehicle is $10,612.42, which is currently available in the Police Federal Justice Forfeiture account under fund 210 Confiscated Funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
