PURPOSE:
To provide funding in the amount of $154,000 from district 4 2017 SPLOST Funding Category 1M - Commission District Discretionary Fund for the following project: North DeKalb Mall to Orion Drive Segment 2.
NEED/IMPACT:
This trail segment design, acquisition and construction cost will extend the South Fork Peachtree Creek trail network in DeKalb from the North DeKalb Mall activity center to Orion Drive and Little Creek Horse Park.
FISCAL IMPACT:
District 4 SPLOST Funds: $154,000 from Category 1M from Commission District 4 Discretionary Fund.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To commit $154,000 of 2017 SPLOST Funds from 2017 SPLOST Funds from District 4 Category 1M - Commission District Discretionary Fund for planning, design, acquisition, construction of new pedestrian and bicycle connection extending the South Fork Peachtree Creek Trail from North DeKalb Mall to Orion Drive and Little Creek Horse Park and and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
