PURPOSE:
As the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic remain, it is imperative to continue public-private partnerships that help to lessen the impact of the pandemic in our local communities. The purpose of this agenda item is to allocate funding that will aid the 100 Black Men of DeKalb County in providing computers, access to internet, other technology, job training, education assistance and other uses applicable for ARP funds under the law.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding allocated will specifically help to address the technological, educational, and vocational challenges that have been intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic for District 5 residents.
