PURPOSE:
To provide funding in the amount of $344,970 from District 2 Sidewalk Capital Account for the following projects:
Medlock to North DeKalb Mall segments 1 and 3 funding for concept, environmental screening and preliminary design - $344,970
NEED/IMPACT:
These trail segments will extend the South Fork Peachtree Creek trail network in DeKalb to the east to the North DeKalb Mall activity center and north to Druid Hills Middle School.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Decrease appropriations in the District 2 Sidewalk CIP Fund:
POETA for District 2 Sidewalks 105684.85405.541401.01.602454 - $344,970
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To commit $344,970 from the District 2 Capital Account appropriation for planning, design, acquisition, construction of new pedestrian and bicycle connections extending the South Fork Peachtree Creek Trail east from Medlock to North DeKalb Mall and north to Druid Hills Middle School.
