NEED/IMPACT:

Georgia Department of Education provided funding to the Georgia Recreation and Park Association (GRPA) to establish the Building Opportunities for Out-of-School Time (BOOST) Grant Program.  The purpose of BOOST is to expand access and enhance services offered by Dekalb County RPCA Department’s after school program.  Targeting youth in grades K-12, BOOST will support the learning acceleration, connectedness, and well-being of DeKalb County’s students by utilizing a whole child approach.  The Department proposes to expand access to serve more youth, increase programmatic quality, enhance support services offered, and reduce barriers, such as transportation and enrollment costs. The grant period covers the 2022-2023 school year and has a term from August 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT:

RPCA will receive grant funding NTE $188,444
