PURPOSE:
To allocate $51,300 from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 Account 100592.80314.541100.05.600010 to District 2 Zonolite Park Development Account 105077.80314.541200.06.600010 for construction documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The construction documents are needed as the Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department plans the expansion of Zonolite Park. In 2021, RPCA acquired the property at 1634 Briarcliff Road. This property will be used to expand Zonolite Park and provide additional access to the park. Design will include boardwalk, possible wall for a turned down sidewalk, landscaping, and a rain garden. The funds will also be used to obtain a topographic survey, permitting, bidding assistance and construction administration assistance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to 2022 fiscal operating budget; $51,300 to be funded from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the allocation of $51,300 from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 Account 100592.80314.541100.05.600010 to District 2 Zonolite Park Development Account 105077.80314.541200.06.600010 for construction documents; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.
