PURPOSE:
To appropriate $4,400,184 to Voter Registration & Elections
NEED/IMPACT:
The Board of Voter Registration & Elections has requested additional funding in advance of the November election for the following purposes:
• $2,800,000 for temporary personnel services
• $505,000 for software modernization, elections equipment, and security systems
• $425,000 for contracted services including integrated communications support, strategic planning, and risk assessment.
• $275,184 to fund twelve positions for four months.
• $395,000 to remove a negative line item for temporary salaries.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for Voter Registration & Elections - General Fund (various line items) by $4,400,184.
Decrease appropriations for Fund Reserves - General Fund - Budgetary Reserve by $4,400,184

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
