PURPOSE:

To consider acceptance of the 2021 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security-Federal Emergency Agency in the amount of $372,727.27: and grant match funds of 10% in the amount of $37,272.73 for a total grant of $410,000.00

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The purpose of the Assistance to Firefighters program is to protect the health and safety of the public and firefighting personnel against fire and fire-related hazards. This grant award will cover the purchase of air compressor/cascade/fill stations for filling self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and the planning/development and training for the Peer Support Team. The performance period for the grant is

August 17, 2022 to August 16, 2024.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The grant requires a 10% grant match totaling $37,272.73
