To appropriate District 7 reserves in the amount of $15,000 to Royal Adult Day Services to provide therapy services and programming to DeKalb County senior citizens living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

NEED/IMPACT:

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, over six million people aged 65 and older in the United States have Alzheimer’s disease. Approximately 10,000 are living with the disease in DeKalb County. The funds will be used to provide therapy services and programming with a focus on memory stimulation and engagement for senior citizens living with Alzheimer’s and dementia in DeKalb County.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for this project is an allocation of $15,000 from the District 7 Reserve for Appropriation.
