PURPOSE:
Appropriate $24,000 from American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1 to Cowart Family YMCA to provide food assistance through the organization’s Hunger Relief Program.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding will assist DeKalb County families who are experiencing food insecurities and need food assistance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 1 American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funding and be appropriated to Cowart Family YMCA.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $24,000 from American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1 to the Cowart Family YMCA and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute the attached Memorandum of Agreement and all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney, for the purpose of providing food assistance.
