PURPOSE:
To consider approval of Amendment No. 5 to the Emergency Agreement for Provision of Professional Services with Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc., for assistance with the Tenant Landlord Assistance Coalition that will extend the Agreement to September 30, 2023 and add $660,000.00 to the Agreement's not to exceed amount.

NEED/IMPACT:
The Federal Government allocated Emergency Rental Assistance Program funding to DeKalb County to assist in addressing the rental crises affecting the nation. The ERAP program provides that payments from the Fund may only be used to cover costs incurred beginning in March 2020 for certain purposes, including rental and utilities assistance. This action appropriates an additional $660,000.00 in ERA/ERA reallocation funding to the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc. for implementation of the attached Amendment No. 5 to the Professional Services Agreement in furtherance of the Tenant Landlord Assistance Coalition goals and objectives, to fund the extension of the term through September 30, 2023.

Amendment No. 1 was approved by the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners on September 28, 2021 and extended the term through February 28, 2022 and added $200,000.00 to the Agreement's not to exceed amount.
