PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on February 23, 2021 for an amount not to exceed $7,112,900.00. This contract consists primarily of the provision of design services to facilitate the manufacturing of the two (2) ozone generators according to specifications of those generators at the Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant. The installation of the two (2) ozone generators, will include but is not limited to: The Control Logix/Compact (PLC) change out to Allen Bradley, the connection of pipework, new power supply units, cabling and all instrumentation and control requirements. Services also will include acceptance testing and commissioning of the new equipment with current equipment. Extending the contract term will allow for the completion of the project and further contribute to the continued filtration of DeKalb County's drinking water.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:

Heavy Constructors, Inc., 1596 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068

Recommended Action
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents
