PURPOSE:
To appropriate District 7 reserves in the amount of $11,000 to the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church to develop senior programming.
NEED/IMPACT:
The $11,000 appropriation will be used to develop and implement senior programming for senior citizens in DeKalb County. Senior programs have also played a major role in addressing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as a space to provide social and emotional support among the senior population. Senior programming is needed for DeKalb County seniors to increase social interaction, social connectedness, and a sense of agency to mitigate the effects of social isolation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this project is an allocation of $11,000 from the District 7 Reserve for Appropriation.

Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
