PURPOSE:
Pursuant to 13A of the Organizational Act, where “The chief executive shall nominate a person,” CEO Thurmond nominates Mr. Charles Yi for reappointment to the Housing Authority of DeKalb County. This is for a one (1) year term which will expire April 24, 2023.
NEED/IMPACT:
The mission of the Housing Authority of DeKalb County is to provide sustainable and affordable housing as a platform to enhance lives. Mr. Yi’s last appointment term expired on April 24, 2008, but he has continued to serve. Mr. Yi has served as a Resident Commissioner, who, according to O.C.G.A. § 8-3-50(b)(2), “is directly assisted by the public housing authority in such county.” This action would reappoint Mr. Yi to a one (1) year term that would expire on April 24, 2023. Pursuant to 13A of the Organizational Act, the Chief Executive Officer nominates Mr. Charles Yi to the Housing Authority of DeKalb County.
