2022 Countywide Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

PURPOSE:
The 2022 Countywide Hazard Mitigation update was developed to revise the Hazard Mitigation plan approved by the Board of commissioners February 14, 2017.
NEED/IMPACT:
The 2017 approved Hazard Mitigation Plan outlined a mitigation strategy five (5) years following the plan approval and adoption by all the plan participants. The FY22 plan update, serves to address this requirement, as well as provide for a public hearing.
Pursuant to federal regulations, DEMA provided an opportunity to the public to comment on the plan during the drafting state and prior to plan approval from October 17,2022 thru October 31, 2022 via the County’s website and social media outlets.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is currently no financial impact.
