PURPOSE:
To consider approval of the official retirement and sale of K-9 Drago to his handler for the sum of $1.00.
NEED/IMPACT:
K-9 Drago began his service to the County in 2014 and has served his entire career with his handler Master Patrolman Burrell Daniel. Drago has provided outstanding service to the department and to the citizens of DeKalb County. Due to his exemplary work record, age, and current medical condition, he has reached a point in his career for retirement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To transfer ownership of Drago at the cost of $1.00 to his handler.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
