PURPOSE:

Pursuant to Section 13A of the Organizational Act where, “The chief executive shall nominate a person,” CEO Thurmond nominates Ms. Ann Hanlon to Post 4 of the Development Authority of DeKalb County, the Private Hospital Authority, and the Residential Care Authority. This appointment is for Post 4, effective upon confirmation and will expire on December 31, 2026 (Development Authority); December 31, 2026 (Private Hospital Authority); and December 31, 2028 (Residential Care Authority).

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The purpose of the Development Authority of DeKalb County is to develop and promote commerce, industry, and employment opportunities for the public good and general welfare of DeKalb County. It is imperative that the membership of the Development Authority of DeKalb County is enhanced with executives and leaders of DeKalb County so that this Authority’s purposes are effectively maintained and managed. Ms. Hanlon is currently the Executive Director of the Perimeter Community Improvement District.
