PURPOSE:
To obtain approval of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs acceptance of a land donation of approximately 4.6 acres of property at 1058/1078 Moreland Avenue parcels 15-145-18-046 and 15-145-15-054
NEED/IMPACT:
This property will initially serve as passive greenspace with possible walking trails and benches. The RPCA Department may decide to develop the property for other recreation use in the future. The land will be donated by Clark Property R+D, LLC once the land is acquired from the current owner. The developer is acquiring approximately 12 acres for this project and donating 4.6 acres to the County. Before accepting the donation, RPCA will do all land acquisition due diligence to ensure the land is an appropriate addition to RPCA property acreage.
FISCAL IMPACT:
An estimated acquisition budget of $20,000 to be funded from RPCA departmental budget

To approve Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department acceptance of approximately 4.6 acres of donated land at 1058/1078 Moreland Avenue; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project
