CO - Change Order No. 5 to Contract No. 1191816 SoCo Contracting Company, Inc. and Change Order No. 6 to Contract No. 1191815 Kissberg Parker-Fry JV, LLC for General Contractor Services (Multi-year Contract): for use by the Departments of Facilities Management (FM), Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs (RPCA), Fire Rescue Services (FR), and Library (DCPL). These contracts consist of providing general contractor work for minor construction projects throughout the County. This request is to allow Facilities Management to use SPLOST funding for early demolition of the New Police Evidence Storage Facility located at 845 Camp Road, Decatur, GA 30032 under Contract No. 1191816 and to add the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) to Contract No. 1191815 for renovations to a temporary, offsite facility at Polebridge Wastewater Treatment Plant. Awarded to SoCo Contracting Company, Inc. and Kissberg Parker-Fry JV, LLC. Total Amount Not To Exceed: $1,032,750.00.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on November 19, 2019 to five (5) vendors for a total amount not to exceed $825,000.00. On November 10, 2020, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to increase funding to all five (5) contracts for a total amount not to exceed $2,160,000.00 to fund additional projects. On February 9, 2021, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 to increase funding to all five (5) contracts for a total amount not to exceed $1,100,000.00 to fund additional projects utilizing SPLOST funds and raised individual project limit to $500,000.00. On August 10, 2021, the BOC approved Change Order No. 3 for a total amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00 to increase funding to all five (5) contracts for additional projects. On March 22, 2022, the BOC approved Change Order No. 4 to contract 1191815 (Kissberg) for an amount not to exceed $1,451,397.00 for renovations of library restrooms at Chamblee, Clarkston, Decatur, Flat Shoals, Gresham, Lithonia-Davidson, Redan-Trotti and Wesley Chapel - William C. Brown. On April 12, 2022, the BOC approved Change Order No. 5 to contract 1191815 and Change Order No. 4 to the remaining four (4) contracts for a total amount not to exceed $2,400,000.00 for additional projects.
This request is to allow Facilities Management to use SPLOST funding with Contract No. 1191816 for early demolition of the New Police Evidence Storage Facility located at 845 Camp Road, Decatur, GA 30032 and to add the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) to Contract No. 1191815 for renovations to a temporary, offsite facility at Polebridge Wastewater Treatment Plant. This facility will house staff and equipment necessary to operate DWM’s laboratory operations, since the current building is unusable due to safety hazards and threatens ongoing laboratory operations.
