PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment of up to $92,000 to Georgia Power to install 20 decorative street lights on Rockbridge Road from Allgood Road to Rowland Road;
To consider reserving up to $92,000 of SPLOST funds from line 1B - Federal and State Matching Funds for Transportation Purposes for street light installation costs; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute documents pertaining to this work.
NEED/IMPACT:
Street lights were not included in the ongoing Rockbridge Road Improvement Project. The proposed decorative lights will provide improved lighting that complements the other improvements being made as part of the project. Georgia Power will install the lights in coordination with the contractor for the Rockbridge Road Improvement project
FISCAL IMPACT:
SPLOST funds in the amount of $92,000 will be needed.
